Imagine....
1 Thes. 1:4-10 For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, [5] because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. [6] You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. [7] And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. [8] The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, [9] for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, [10] and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.
Imagine what it would be like if we really copied Jesus in everything....
Imagine if we tried to be as humble as Jesus - just imageine how we could serve each other in kndness and selflessness. Imagine if we sought wisdom like him - then we could discern the best thing to do in each and every situation. Imagine if we were learning to be as compassionate as he was - then we would never run away from a difficult situation where someone needed help. Imagine if we could become as open as Jesus - just think of the network of friends that we would have and the doors that would open into our communities. And imagine if we learned to be as brave as he was - then we would know what it would be like to take the Gospel into dark places and see its light shine gloriously.

I've been thinking about how amazing it is that God has chosen us. Other people in our lives may reject us, look down on us or even act like they wished we had never existed or had been made differently but God has chosen each of us!
And as we copy Jesus He can use us (by words and by the power of the Holy Spirit) to bring others to faith and that realisation :-)
