God's Masterpiece: Day 2....
Ephes. 2:4-10 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, [5] made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. [6] And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, [7] in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. [8] For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— [9] not by works, so that no-one can boast. [10] For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
It's not that we are God's workmanship that grabs my attention here, though reflecting that we are his creation is an awesome and mind blowing couple of minutes, but that out of his kindness to us God wants to 'show the incomparable riches of his grace' to us.
I always get the impression here that he wants to pour this grace onto us, that it's like water being emptied onto our heads, completely drenching us, and that it never runs out, just keeps on coming. I am amazed that God thinks that I am worth it, that he values me enough to keep lavishing me with his riches.
This relates to us serving him in this way - that we are always under his care, protection and guidance. That even when events and circumstance seem tough and overwhelming the creator of the universe is there for me. Knowing this should make me braver in serving him, to be willing to take bigger risks in front of people for him. So that's my prayer now, to remember that no matter how dark events seem, to keep going, because my heavenly father is lavishing his good things onto me.

We must always thank God for his wonderful graces and saving us from our sins... We are his wonderful masterpieces on earth and we will do according to what God has planned for us. I will do good in whatever you have prepared in advance for me to do.

I don't think i could ever understand why God loves me. But what's important is that He loves me. And I will love Him back, and trust His plan in my life.

Verse 5 is the one that always stands out for me. The word grace and saved in the same sentence strikes so deep within the heart that it brings a tearful joy to the ear and heart -
